Ping-Fine Art Decorative Tiles
Ping’s Studio - Founded in 2002 together with another well-known ceramic artist has since established a nationwide reputation for her creation of hand painted ceramic arts of the highest quality. Most of the designs that are shown on this website are originally created by Ping, who has more than ten years of watercolor and photography experience.
All works are started with a sketch on paper, later filled with watercolors to see the effect. A specially designed “Bubble Pen” was used to create the 3-D raising details, through which liquid form of ceramic is piped onto the unfired clay surface. The ridges that are created by the piping process become barriers between colors during the glazing process as well as a great way to achieve a more defined image after the firing.
These art tiles have built in stands to sit on tables, a hole for hanging on walls, or the backing can be removed to inlay in kitchens, baths, BBQ's etc. Because the Decorative Art Tiles are heat resistant, they can be used as trivets. We have had many customers frame them to make beautiful wall hangings.
